The first thing to do is install and activate Ditty News Ticker Plugin. Upon activation, the plugin adds a News Ticker menu item to your WordPress admin. Mouse over the menu item and click the Add New link to add a news ticker.

On the next screen, you will be able to give this particular ticker a name, ticker text, and a link. For each ticker, you can add as many ticker elements as you like. If you want to add another ticker item, press the green + button to add the next item in the ticker. When you’re done adding ticker items, scroll down to Ticker mode. There are three different types of tickers available. Scroll, rotate, and list. Scroll mode is the default mode because it is most commonly used on television networks. Rotation is another good option if you want to display one ticker at a time.

If you want to adjust the behavior of the news ticker, scroll down to the Scroll Settings panel. This panel allows you to configure the scrolling speed and dimensions. You can also choose the space between the elements of each ticker and suspend the elements.ts when a user hovers their mouse over the ticker.

The plugin generates a shortcode and a PHP function for each news ticker it creates. You can use the shortcode in a post, a page, a widget in the sidebar or directly insert the PHP function in your theme files.

Once you’ve inserted the ticker shortcode or PHP function, then it should work. We hope this article has helped you add a news ticker to your WordPress site. Do you want to use a ticker? news on your website, or do you prefer ours? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
