Introduction #
This is the documentation page of Restaurant WordPress theme. Restaurant is a clean, super flexible and fully responsive Bootstrap based WordPress Theme. The documentation of this theme will also seem easier to the developers and the regular users too. Because the theme has a documentation both in written and video form so that anyone with very basic knowledge of WordPress, can use it easily.
Theme Installation #
- Theme installation process is as same as the others.
- Download the .zip file. (The Restaurant theme can be downloaded from (?) after the purchase)
- Then, go to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes.
- Click on the Add New button.
- Click on the Upload Theme button on the top.
- Use Choose File button to select .zip file.
- Select the theme ‘.zip’ file from your computer and click Install Now button.
- After successfully installing the theme click on “Activate Theme”.
Restaurant Homepage #
– Adding a Restaurant Homepage #

- Create a new page by going to Pages > Add New in the WordPress Dashboard.
- Give the page a name whatever you want. eg: Home.
- Then from the Page Attributes options box select the Template as homepage.
- Then Go to Settings > Reading in the WordPress Dashboard and select the “A Static Page” option which is under the heading “Homepage Displays”.
- Then Select the page from the “Homepage” drop down box that you have created earlier . eg: Home.
– Adding a blog post page when the homepage is activated. #
- Go to Pages > Add New in the WordPress Dashboard.
- Give it a name whatever you want. eg : Blog.
- Then Go to Settings > Reading in the WordPress Dashboard and select the option “A static page” which is under the heading “Your Homepage Displays”.
- Then Select the page that you have created (eg: Blog) from the “Posts Page” drop down .
Now you have created a “Restaurant Homepage” to display posts widgets and “Blog page” to display normal blog posts. To display posts widgets in Restaurant homepage, drag and drop Restaurant posts widgets to “Restaurant Homepage” widget area.
